Trademark Services

USPTO Filing Fee Notice: Attorney fees cover all legal work: clearance research, application preparation, and prosecution. The USPTO government filing fee of $350 per class is always a separate cost paid directly to the USPTO at filing. Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the flat fee?

Our flat fees cover all attorney time, document drafting, revisions, and communication throughout your matter. Government filing fees (like USPTO fees) are separate and paid directly to the relevant agency.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer flexible payment arrangements for many of our services. During your consultation, we'll discuss options that work for your budget and timeline.

What if my project scope changes?

If your needs evolve during the engagement, we'll discuss any adjustments openly and provide a revised quote before proceeding. You'll never be surprised by unexpected charges.

How long does each service typically take?

Timelines vary by service: trademark searches take 5-7 business days, business formations 1-2 weeks, and contract reviews 3-5 business days. We'll provide specific timelines during your consultation.

How long does trademark registration take?

The USPTO is currently processing applications in approximately 8-12 months for straightforward applications. The timeline can extend if the examiner issues office actions requiring a response.

Can you help me if I'm not in Texas or Georgia?

For federal trademark matters before the USPTO, yes — J Brantley Law serves clients nationwide. For state-specific legal matters (business formation, contracts, personal injury, estate planning), services are currently available to clients in Texas and Georgia.

Have Questions About Fees?
